Supporting Communities
Rapid-response technical assistance for under-resourced communities.
How We Work
By listening first and acting quickly, we help utilities, municipalities, Tribes, and government agencies navigate complex financing and funding programs to connect with the right resources. We provide technical assistance and project management to reduce delays, develop projects, and apply for State and Federal funds for under-resourced groups, fast. We help communities overcome barriers to entry faster, unlocking funding and financing so they can address their unique environmental and public health challenges now. Through this, we move critical drinking water, wastewater treatment, stormwater management, water resource protection, and restoration projects from vision to reality.
What It Matters
Durable, resilient, and high-performing water infrastructure and aquatic ecosystems are essential for human health, safety, and economic opportunity. Yet too many communities are missing out on opportunities to ensure residents have the resources they need to thrive. They struggle with aging systems, funding gaps, workforce availability, and policy barriers that threaten access to safe drinking water, wastewater services, flood protection, and resilient ecosystems. These barriers are often related to local capacity constraints. This means that many small, rural, and Tribal communities are unable to take even the first steps in accessing State and Federal funds.
Making Data Actionable for Communities
We work to bridge the digital and data gaps facing overburdened communities, ensuring they can access, understand, and act on environmental and public health data. Without accessible data, communities may appear invisible in policy discussions– not because problems don’t exist, but because the evidence is missing. By making data clear, accessible, and user-friendly, communities are empowered to make informed decisions with faster, more effective local actions. Whether for public health, environmental stewardship, or infrastructure improvements, accessible data fuels community-led progress.
