Fiona Price

Fiona joined EPIC in the spring of 2026. She is a recent Master’s of Environmental Management graduate from the Nicholas School at Duke University, where she specialized in freshwater management as well as community engagement and environmental justice. She led both the Duke Water Network and the Duke Environmental Justice Network. Her Master’s Project examined strategies for balancing conservation and local livelihoods in Madagascar – an extension of previous research in Madagascar during her undergraduate career at Dartmouth College. She first-authored a published paper on community biodiversity monitoring in Madagascar upon graduation from Dartmouth. Prior to the Nicholas School, she spent a year as a climate consultant at ICF, focusing on climate resilience. In addition to her professional and educational experiences centered on climate adaptation and resilience, she is also deeply interested in the connection between human health and the environment. She minored in global health at Dartmouth, received a graduate degree in global health at Duke, and spent a summer as a community engagement intern at the Duke Superfund Research Center where she engaged with local community members affected by environmental contaminants

Get to Know Me Further

I am originally from Worcester (“woostah”) MA, but now reside in Durham, NC. When I’m not working, you’ll find me training for a marathon, attempting to cook ambitious vegetarian recipes for non-vegetarians friends and family, or tackling crossword and sudoku puzzles. You can also find me volunteering at the Duke Lemur Center, where my lifelong love of odd animals intersects with my research experiences in Madagascar. I even have a lemur tattoo!
